Risk Management for Branch Frontline and Supervisors

Liquidity and Asset Liability Management for Senior Executives

Management of Bank’s balance sheet has been limited to growing of assets (earning and non-earning) and making revenue without adequate level of customer deposits. Traditionally planning for capital for the planned activities has not been an area of focus but a regulatory reporting exercise, and the risks associated with the budgeted balance sheet are not investigated and understood, as a result, banks are faced with liquidity and capital challenges with the attendant potential bankruptcies soon as their budgets have been approved.
